Dikembe is an indie-emo/punk band from Gainesville, Florida. They formed in 2011 as a 4-piece that included:

Ryan Willems (guitar)
David Bell (drums)
Kenny Jewett (bass)
Before Dikembe, Steven and Ryan used to play in the band Wavelets.
After their formation Dikembe released their debut EP Chicago Bowls in 2011. Later that year they embarked on a tour with You Blew It!. The band also signed with Tiny Engines in late 2011.
On August 14, 2012 Dikembe released their first full-length album Broad Shoulders.
On April 20, 2013 they remastered their first EP Chicago Bowls. During the summer of the same year the band went on a tour with Signals Midwest.
Sometime in 2013 the original bass player Kenny Jewett left the band and was replaced with Randy Reddell.
On July 22, 2014 Dikembe released their second full-length album Mediumship.
On June 2, 2015 the band released their second EP titled Ledge.
Sometime after the release of their second EP, Ryan Willems left the band. Dikembe continued to make music as a 3-piece.
On July 7, 2016 Dikembe released their third full-length album Hail Something on their own label named “Death Protector Collective”.
