Dianne Reeves debuted as the first artist signed to the newly activated Blue Note Records in 1987 with an album produced George Duke, her cousin.
She has received the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album five times, including awards for three consecutive releases, a first in any category. She appeared in the movie Good Night, and Good Luck with George Clooney, the soundtrack of which earned her fourth Grammy.
Dianne comes from a very musically talented family. Her uncle Charles Burrell was the first African-American to sign a full-time symphony contract in the United States when he joined the Denver Symphony Orchestra in 1949.
