Diamond Rio is a country and Christian music band that was founded in 1982 as an attraction for the Opryland USA theme park in Nashville. It was previously known as the Grizzly River Boys and the Tennessee River Boys.

-Gene Johnson – Eugene Charles Johnson was born August 10, 1949 in Jamestown, New York. He married June Smith on December 24, 1972 and is the father of Callie, born August 29, 1972 and Mattie, born July 22, 1975. Gene plays mandolin, guitar, fiddle and provides tenor vocals for Diamond Rio. He lives in Nashville.
-Jimmy Olander – James William Olander was born August 26, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has a brother, Doug. He attended Ernest W. Seaholm High School, class of 1979. He married Claudia Fontenot on October 30, 1995 and they are the parents of Maximum Fitzgerald “Max”, born May 21, 2002 and Tank Elijah born in January 2005. Jimmy is a skydiving veteran and plays lead guitar, Dobro, Danelectro and banjo. He chose Franklin, Tennessee as his home.
-Brian Prout – Brian Philip Prout was born December 4, 1955 in Troy, New York. His father is Charles Prout and he has an older sister, Flora. He attended Troy High School in NY. He has been married twice; first to Nancy Given Prout, who you may remember as the drummer for the all-female band Wild Rose. Currently he is married to singer-songwriter Stephanie Bentley. They have been married since December 28, 2001 and are the parents of Lily Arlina Kay, born September 25, 2002; and twins Bentley and Sophie who were born January 23, 2005, four months premature. Brian plays the drums for Diamond Rio.
-Dan Truman – Daniel Thomas Truman was born August 29, 1956 in St. George, Utah. He married Wendee on November 7, 1980 and they have three children. Ben, born June 2, 1984; Casey, born June 16, 1990; and McKenzie, born September 28, 1995. Dan plays keyboards, piano, organ and the synthesizer.
-Dana Williams – Dana Keith Williams was born May 22, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio. He married Lisa and they have one son, Jacob Keith, born May 29, 1996. He plays bass guitar and provides baritone vocals for Diamond Rio. Dana grew up mostly in Nashville and now resides in Hendersonville, TN.
Diamond Rio is known for “Meet in the Middle”, “How Your Love Makes Me Feel”, “One More Day”, “Beautiful Mess” and “I Believe”.
