Dewa Budjana is the guitarist of Indonesian rock band, GIGI. Before he raised his fame with GIGI, he started his musical career with Squirrel, the jazz band when in high school in Surabaya. He beated some competitions with the band and was chosen as the best guitar player. He went to Jakarta, which inroduced himself with one of Indonesia jazz legends, Jack Lesmana. He gained his knowledge and philosophy in jazz genre.

He has recorded and performed with musicians such as Peter Erskine, Bob Mintzer, Antonio Sanchez, Ben williams, Joe Locke, Gary Husband, John Mc Laughlin, Vinnie Colaiuta, Jimmy Haslip, Jimmy Johnson, Mike Landau, Guthrie govan, Chad Wackerman, among others. His album mostly on Moonjune Records.
