Arguably the biggest pioneer of the Birmingham grime scene, Devilman is an OG in the grime scene who is most known for his clash with Skepta. Originally using the name D.E.Velopment, he was a core member of the Aftershock collective alongside the likes of Terror Danjah, Bruza and Tinie Tempah during the crew’s prime, contributing extensively to their mixtapes.
He kickstarted his career with the release of San Andreas, and 2014 saw him drop Devilman’s State of Mind. Although he wasn’t well-known outside of the grime scene, his infamous beef with Skepta propelled him into the limelight, with listeners noting his wordplay and flow. “Drum and Bass Father” and his “Skepta Diss” are both his most popular tracks, each reaching over one million views on YouTube.
