Derivakat, formerly Fizybubly, is a writer, singer, and producer based in San Francisco, California. She experiments with many genres when it comes to her works, but the most common genre of her music is pop.

Under the stage name Fizybubly, Derivakat made covers of pop songs like “Take Me Home” by Cash Cash and Bebe Rexha. However, she started gaining popularity with her release of “Blue” (released December 2020), which retold the story of two charcters in the Minecraft roleplay server, the Dream SMP: Wilbur Soot’s ghost character, Ghostbur, and his friend, Friend.

For the next two years, Derivakat specialized in making songs related to the Dream SMP. Her Dream SMP-inspired fan project which included “Blue,” Songs of the SMP, started gaining traction when Twitch streamer and Dream SMP member Karl Jacobs noticed her music on Twitter, and began to play it on his streams since the interaction.

In mid-2022, Derivakat underwent changes to her music style. She continued to make covers of Japanese songs, but also started making original songs about historical events and the video game VALORANT. Her release of “Pomegranate Lips” (May 2022) and “Viper” (July 2022) marked a different era for her original songs. However, she still collaborated with people from the Minecraft and nerdcore communities, examples being “Blue Moon” with vGumiho and “Glimpse of Us” with Caleb Hyles (both released in September 2022).

Mid-2023 marked a new era. In June of the year, she debuted with her new music persona, The Archivist, who is “tasked with documenting human emotion.” Her songs touched on the struggles of human interaction and personal struggles. Her release of “Tool” that same month became the Archivist’s debut song. It also became the Archivist’s first archival song that documented the emotion of anger.
