Delaine “The Main” Douglass was born August 2001 in CT. He was adopted at the age of 2 by his parents and still resides in CT & studies at University

He started playing the drums at the age of 10 and has not stopped since, he works on making songs with his friends and makes beats for singers and rappers whenever possible.

He started rapping at the age of 17, making fun raps with his friends on a mixtape called ‘The Main Is Back’ which has since been taken down.

After making a few fun songs, Delaine had started making songs about girls he had relations with; or what he likes to call ‘rapping about girls’. Doing this, it caused a creative spark in his mind. He then started working on songs everyday, writing the lyrics for ideas he had and working on beats to go with them. Over the span of 7 months he had started working on his debut project, Pain 2 Gain: A Confession which is technically his second album after ‘The Main Is Back’. The critics thought the album “touched too lightly on confessing and more on him being sorry about hurting his exes” which Delaine thinks is a way of confessing.

Right after having dropped Pain 2 Gain: A Confession he released a single with rapper Kyyezer Soze titled Lightskin Gang and then in the coming months he dropped his tracks Sauce and Hypebeasts leading up to his sequal mixtape The Main is Back 2 which came out in January 2020, he then took a break from releasing a song every month but in that time had written many songs

He then came back in May 2020 with the song ‘Sinking Ships’ which was the first song that featured The Main singing over a song, he then dropped his song ‘ykwim’ which was the first official single from his second album dreams but I am getting ahead of myself. In July he dropped the first single from his mixtape S.U.S. Boy titled Spray It which is another song with collaborator Kyyezer Soze. He then dropped the lead single Bag which people seemed to like. Then on the 9th anniversary of his father’s passing he dropped S.U.S. Boy which was a very diverse album. From screaming on I Cut Myself to Feel Something to singing on L.A. Hoes The Main does a lot throughout this project.

He then came back in the new year, that being 2021 with his song ‘chainsmoking’ with artist PANE
then in the months leading up to ‘dreams’ he had dropped the title track which is a pop rap song, which is kind of the whole feel of the album.

Then on May 1st dreams was released which is his most popular album to date.
