Deep Threat formed in 1995 in Houston, Texas. The group consisted of lead singer Jolivette, Nitro and Ken.
After being discovered by producer Ronnie Thomas at a talent show, they were signed to his label, Def Souf Records in 1998. After the label shut down, Thomas created Nu Souf Records and shortly after, signed Deep Threat to the label in November 2000.
Also in 2000, Deep Threat were featured on Lil Flip’s “Boxers” from his debut album, The Leprechaun. The track not only gained Flip attraction in the Texas music scene, but gave Deep Threat national attention.
On December 18, 2001, they released their debut single, “Bring It On”. Then, on June 18, 2002, they released their self-titled debut studio album. But unfortunately, after the album didn’t chart at all, this would be the last time people would hear from Deep Threat ever again.
