About Dee White

Dee White makes classic-minded country music for the modern world, raised in the small town of Slapout, Alabama.

He’s a natural singer and songwriter that was discovered by Harlod Shedd – the music mogul responsible for signing Alabama, discovering Shania Twain, and producing Reba McEntire’s first gold record.

Dee left college at the ripe age of 19 and began making trips to Tennessee where he found another mentor in Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

Together, the two co-wrote a number of songs, eventually recording at Auerbach’s studio, Easy Eye Sound, with the output resulting in Dee’s debut album Southern Gentleman.

Dee recalled writing with Auerbach:

It would be the two of us and Dan would rotate these other writers – all older guys who loved classic music – in and out of the writing room each day. Each write would be completely different, which is why each song on the album sounds so unique.

Dee’s debut album Southern Gentleman is due in early 2019 on Easy Eye Sound.
