Declan McKenna (born 24 December 1998) is a British singer, songwriter, and musician best known for winning the Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition in 2015 and his hit single “Brazil.”
After McKenna won the Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition, more than 40 record companies vied to sign him, with McKenna going with Columbia Records.
McKenna released his debut full-length album What Do You Think About the Car? on July 21, 2017.
Declan McKenna released his second studio album, Zeros, on September 4, 2020. The album includes the singles “Beautiful Faces,” “The Key to Life on Earth,” “Daniel, You’re Still a Child,” and “Be an Astronaut.” The album was released to commercial success and universal acclaim from critics, who praised its songwriting, production, and contemporary take on the rock music style of the 1960s and 1970s.
