23-year-old rapper and Creative, De La Cruz, grew up in the small Hispanic city of Lawrence Massachusetts. Music being in His blood, with his Uncle being the great Dominican singer Fausto Rey of Fania Records, his father paving the way as a rising Hip Hop artist under the name “Hoffa”, his mother, aunt and several of His cousins all picking up a microphone He was destined to do the same. De La Cruz born Otto Socrates De La Cruz Jr, driven by the glamorous appeal of living a rapper lifestyle found himself as early as sixteen years old battling a weed and pornography addiction, all the while dealing with the complications that a divorce brings on a family of six. The women, attention, and various vices De La Cruz would turn to would soon no longer fill the void, at the verge of a suicide attempt he recalled the stories he had heard at a young age about Jesus Christ and His saving power. In a last stitched attempt at finding peace, De La Cruz cried out to God and His call was answered that very night waking up the next morning fully born again.
