When David Keenan puts pen to paper, and then sets those words to music, the everyday becomes the extraordinary. A native of Dundalk, Ireland; the young singer-storyteller started to carve out his path in 2015. A clutch of self-released, well-received EP collections and immersive, all-embracing live performances in Ireland has brought him to his debut album – “A Beginner’s Guide To Bravery” – a striking record of fascinating tales set to indelible tunes. Drawing on an eclectic range of influences compassing music to theatre to literature, David Keenan’s keenly observed celebrations of misfits, underdogs and heartsore souls are an entrance to a soundworld entirely of his own creation.
