Born in Jackson, Minnesota on November 12th, 1964, David Warren Ellefson is Megadeth’s bassist on all albums except the ones from 2002 to 2010 due to a feud with the band’s well known frontman; Dave Mustaine.
Called “Junior” to differentiate the two Daves, Ellefson got into Megadeth at its beginning in 1983, becoming Mustaine’s best friend for more than 30 years. Apart from Megadeth, David plays bass in Metal Allegiance since 2014.
Currently residing in Scottsdale, Arizona, the metal veteran lives with his wife Julie. They have two children together; Roman and Athena.
