Harold David Box was a rock musician in the early 1960s originating from Texas. He was influenced by fellow Texan and musician Buddy Holly, whom he briefly replaced in The Crickets after his tragic death in 1959 because he had a similar sounding voice.
David Box formed his own band called The Ravens and featuring his classmates in 1958. His carreer, however, lasted but briefly as he tragically died on October 23, 1964 in a plane crash.
