Daveed Daniele Diggs (born January 24, 1982) is an American actor and rapper.
Born in Oakland, CA, Diggs graduated from Brown University and acted in plays on the West Coast before joining the hip-hop group clipping.
Diggs originated the role of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton on Broadway, for which he won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.
