Co-founder and lead singer of GWAR. Former bass player/singer for Death Piggy, X-Cops, and Dave Brockie Experience. Died of a heroin overdose on March 23, 2014.

Brockie’s GWAR character, Oderus Urungus, was portrayed as hedonistic, violent, and gay. Oderus’s sexuality, while demonstrably pansexual, was always said to be gay, effectively a tribute to Brockie’s homosexual brother Andrew and intended to be an affront to Conservative America at large. Brockie’s X-Cops character, Patrolman Cobb Knobbler, was a gay neo-Nazi police officer who wore short shorts and sported a Hitler mustache.
