Datsik is a Canadian dubstep artist who started his music career as a hip hop artist but, his musical path was reconciled when he met up with Excision at the Shabhala electronic music festival. Datsik often collaborates with other artists such as 12th planet and Excision. He origionally started off with smog records but later went on to start his own label: Firepower Records which was to release music from new emerging electronic music artists.
