hatena (formerly known as dashie) is an Electronic and EDM artist based in Aberdeen, UK. They’re best known for their Dariacore songs on SoundCloud and gaining a bigger platform after the release of their 2021 EP, Dashiecore, Vol. 1, released on Sep. 19, 2021.

Oct. 27, 2022, is when they released their first album, throwaways. Throughout the rest of 2022 to May of 2023, they would continue to make the same style of Electronic and EDM music. Until June of 2023 they would switch their theme of music from Dariacore to Brazilian Phonk.

On Dec. 11, 2023, they began to publish EDM music again, this time under the name hatena, while still producing Brazilian Phonk under the name dashie.
