Danny Sanchez is an up-and-coming R&B/Hip-Hop from Brixton, Southwest London. He combines slick wordplay and smooth flow with a soulful voice, making music with an assuredness beyond his age.

His first release on Soundcloud came in 2015. The song, Rhythm and Flow, is a rap-cum-singing mixture in which Danny flexes his smooth vocals and showcases sleek rapping skill on his verses, and through this stream of consciousness, he raps about hostile streets, the chase for success, and lust.

Sanchez interweaves smooth vocals and witty bars throughout all of his releases and typically sits on lo-fi, jazz-inspired hip hop instrumentals. His ear for production is very impressive, and he has worked with some familiar production names to make sounds outside of his usual remit, including Lauren Ralph, frequent-collaborator Kxmel, Jamo Beatz, and Thieta for some strong work in various different sonic pockets.

He released his first project, Backstrap Blues, in 2015. The EP was made up of 4 songs and was full of truth, stories of self-worth, love, and bottled-up emotion.

While working on his own releases, he has delivered freestyle sessions for channels like Loudhouse Diaries and P110; he has also collaborated with producer Boyo to release the tracks Spliff On My Hip and Swerve, making a video for the former track with the crew at Loudhouse Diaries.

Since putting out his full debut EP Volveré in 2019, Danny Sanchez has kept up with a consistent stream of releases throughout 2020’s lockdown period, including smooth cuts such as Hold Up (feat. Ashbeck), Dangerous, Go Back, and No Effort.
