Daniel Robert “Danny” Elfman is an American composer, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He originally rose to prominence in the ‘80s as the frontman of rock group Oingo Boingo, but broke into the mainstream with his work scoring the films of Tim Burton, such as Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, and Batman (for which he received a Grammy Award). Among his best-known works are The Nightmare Before Christmas (in which he performed the singing voice of Jack Skellington), and the main theme of long-running animated comedy series The Simpsons.
