Daniel Schuhmacher (born 19 April 1987) is a German singer and became famous by winning the sixth season of DSDS, the German version of “American Idol”, in 2009. The subsequently released album “The Album”, including the hit single “Anything But Love”, was entirley produced and mostly written by Dieter Bohlen, who happened to be a judge on DSDS. The album was a success in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the song “Anything But Love” topping the charts in all three countries. After the release of the album, Schuhmacher and Bohlen ended their collaboration. In 2010 Schuhmacher released his second album on an independent label, but couldn’t repeat the success of his first album.
