About Daniel Kyre

Daniel Lee Kyre (July 6, 1994 – September 18, 2015) was an American filmmaker, internet comedian, and musician born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina.

With high school friend Ryan Magee, the duo formed the group Cyndago in December 2012. Their work got noticed by fellow YouTuber Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach when the duo contacted him about narrating a video. Mark would go on to become a frequent collaborator of the duo, eventually moving them to Los Angeles to edit for him, while continuing to work on their own passion projects.

The duo’s work has won several awards, including their short film “The Afterlife”, which won Best Picture at the 2014 USC campus moviefest.

Unfortunately, Kyre passed away from an apparent suicide attempt in late 2015, prompting the end of Cyndago.

Mark and Magee subsequently parted ways, but Magee found later success with the Let’s Play channel SuperMega.
