Daniel Ash is an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He has been in several different bands throughout his career, his most notable being the goth-rock band Bauhaus.
Ash began playing in cover bands with future Bauhaus members Kevin Haskins and David J.
During his teenage years, he became friends with Peter Murphy. After knowing each other for a few years they formed Bauhaus and in 1979 recorded ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’.
After nearly five years, Bauhaus split and Ash and Haskins went to form Tones on Tail with Glenn Campling.
They disbanded in 1984, and in 1985 formed Love and Rockets which was a trio of Daniel Ash, Kevin Haskins, and David J.
Ash has released six solo albums since 1990.
