About Dana Wells

Dana Wells (May 30th, 1975 – August 16th, 1996) is best known as the stepson of Brazilian guitarist and vocalist Max Cavalera. Dana helped write the lyrics for the Sepultura song “Attitude” off the 1996 album Roots, which would later be used in the Soulfly song “The Song Remains Insane”.

Dana was killed at the age of 21 when a car he was driving lost control and crashed while fleeing members of a gang in Scottsdale, Arizona on August 16th, 1996. Two friends who were in the car survived the crash.
