Dan Zanes & Friends is a Grammy-award winning music group that creates children’s music. After releasing their first album, Rocket Ship Beach, in 2000, they quickly gained popularity among both parents and children. This popularity seemed to be driven by the fact that their music was never written exclusively for children- they wanted to be sure that everyone in the family could enjoy their music together.

Dan Zanes, formerly a member of The Del Fuegos, started making children’s music after the birth of his daughter, Anna, and decided to get a group together. Some original members of Dan Zanes & Friends retired, and new members have since joined.

The music of Dan Zanes & Friends has been featured on Sesame Street, Nick Jr., Sprout, Playhouse Disney, and HBO Family.
