Dan Kye is the brainchild and alter ego of Jordan Rakei, the Kiwi-born, London-based musician and producer. Through Jordan’s interest in dance music, he began creating remixes of his own work. After performing a number of solo-electronic sets and experimenting with original dance tracks, Jordan began taking his new direction seriously and thus Dan Kye was born. In December 2016, Dan Kye released his first EP on Peckham-based label Rhythm Section. He has since performed a sold-out headline show at Camden Assembly, performed live on Giles Peterson’s Worldwide FM and was selected by BBC’s Mary Anne Hobbs for 6 Music Recommends. He has also garnered significant support from Bonobo, Lefto, Maribou State, Claude VonStroke and Bradley Zero.
