Daddy Rich was formally a member of the hip-hop group 3rd Bass, along with MC Serch and Prime Minister Pete Nice, which released three albums between 1988 and 1992. After MC Serch left the group in 1993, Daddy Rich stuck around with Pete Nice and they released their album “Dust to Dust” the following year, no longer under the 3rd Bass name. This album made several attempts to diss MC Serch.
Around this time, Daddy Rich, along with Pete Nice and radio show host Bobbito Garcia, released two albums under their short lived label Hoppoh Recordings; one being Kurious Jorge’s album “A Constipated Monkey,” in 1994, and Count Bass D’s album “Pre-Life Crisis” in 1995.
