Dad, also known as Joey Dadass, is an American rapper, singer, and independent musical artist. He has an independent label called Dad Boy Entertainment.

Dad spent several years traveling in the back of his father’s semi-truck in his childhood, experiencing life in the fast lane. His father eventually settled in the Milwaukee area while his mother laid down roots in Georgia.

Dad released his first album, Father Figure, at the end of 2015. After this, he took a long hiatus and didn’t release any more music until February 2019, 3 and a half years later, when he dropped his song Return the Slab as a single. The song Lake Drive from Father Figure was later re-released onto streaming services as a single on April 20, 2019.

Although Dad is mostly a solo artist, he has worked a lot with members of the GLASSHEAD collective.
