About D9RTY NINE

D9RTY NINE is an American hip-hop trio formed in late 2015 by long-time friends Gary Yampers, John “Séan” Henderson and Zachary “Zplinter” Bufford in their last high school years. The collective is also known as D9 (short for “Dirty Nine”) or The Daughterfuckers.

Their style is very diverse, taking into account that lead member Gary Yampers is a American-born Togolese and both Séan Henderson and Zplinter were raised in hispanic households (which is why the two can be found rapping in Spanish most of the time).

Their music is heavily influenced by alternative hip-hop artists such as Tyler, the Creator, OutKast, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, and even RiFF RAFF.
