David Doman (b. August 3, 1984), known by the stage name, “d.a. got that dope,” is a producer, songwriter, and publisher from Chicago, Illinois. His former stage name was D.A. Doman, but he changed it to reflect his famous producer tag.
Doman has been making beats since the age of 13. In the mid-2000s, he produced for the likes of Ghostface Killah, Mikkey Halsted, and Lupe Fiasco. He would eventually move to Los Angeles to fully pursue his career in music.
In 2017, Doman produced his first major hit with Chris Brown’s “Privacy,” which was certified 2x platinum. His breakout year was 2018, in which he produced Tyga’s “Taste” and Kodak Black’s “ZEZE.” Tyga’s song is certified 6x platinum, while Kodak’s is 4x platinum. Doman continued to rise in 2019, and, in 2020, he had three production credits on Eminem’s Music to Be Murdered By, the biggest of them being the Juice WRLD-assisted “Godzilla.”
Doman’s work can often be identified by his famous producer tag:
