About Coriky

From dischord.com:

Coriky is a band from Washington, D.C. Amy Farina plays drums. Joe Lally plays bass. Ian MacKaye plays guitar. All sing.

Coriky’s formation was first revealed in 2018, when “Untitled Band” performed at a church in November of 2018 in DC. Many people issued them the moniker “Fugevens” at first, given that their sound was described as being “like The Evens, but Fugazi.” According to the runout etching on the vinyl version of their debut album, the band was named by Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty. Other suggested names included A.I. Joe.

The announcement of Coriky’s first studio album, a self-titled release, came in February of 2020, with the single “Clean Kill” being released digitally to coincide. According to the Dischord Records website, Coriky formed in 2015, three years after the release of The Evens' third album, The Odds but never played a show until 2018.
