Conor Michael Smith is a singer, rapper, and songwriter born on June 7, 1999. He was born in Chicago, Illinois but he grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He resides in both Cleveland, Ohio and Los Angeles, California. He rose to fame after being cast as a contestant on the ABC show Boy Band.
The show ran for 10 weeks and Conor finished as a finalist, making him part of the final band, In Real Life, alongside Chance Perez, Sergio Calderon, Drew Ramos, and Brady Tutton.
Conor’s music journey first started with him becoming a young violin prodigy and soon picking up many other instruments such as piano and guitar. Ever since discovering his love for rap in 7th grade, he has showcased to the world how much it means to him. To this day, Conor is still influenced by many other artists such as Logic, Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly, and Future.
Starting in 2019, Conor has been releasing freestyles based off of some of his favorite songs, such as “Lucky You” and “Morph,” both of which have racked up hundreds of thousands of views.
After going by the name of Michael Conor since the beginning of his music career, he announced on August 1st that he was ready to be called by his birth name from then on.
He released his debut single, “With You In Mind” on October 26, 2020.
