About Common Rider

Common Rider was an American ska punk band. They formed in 1999 with members Jesse Michaels (guitar, vocals), Mass Giorgini (bass), and Dan Lumley (drums). The name of the band is taken from the Japanese TV show, Kamen Rider.

The band released two albums and one EP. Their first album, Last Wave Rockers, and their first EP, Thief in a Sleeping Town, were released on Lookout! Records. Last Wave Rockers was released in 1999 while Thief in a Sleeping Town was released in 2001. The band’s second album, This Is Unity Music, was released in 2002 on Hopeless Records.

In 2003, the band broke up due to all of the members wanting to pursue other projects.

In 2008, Jesse Michaels formed a band entitled Classics of Love, after the Common Rider song.
