Rumours of a Coldplay & BTS collaboration began in February 2021, but their first song wasn’t officially released until mid-September that year. The song (‘My Universe’) debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, becoming Coldplay’s second #1, after Viva La Vida. On November 5, 2021, Coldplay released a dance remix of ‘My Universe’ with Galantis.

‘My Universe’’s official music video was released on 30th September 2021 and features both groups on futuristic planets with a fictional band. The video, directed by Dave Myers, is set on a planet where music is banned across the universe.
