About Code Orange

Code Orange, formerly known as Code Orange Kids, are a Pittsburgh-based, hardcore band.

They released two albums through Deathwish Inc., both to critical acclaim. After their partnership with Deathwish Inc., they released their third album, Forever, with Roadrunner Records (shortly before the addition of a third guitarist, Dominic Landolina). This album was their breakout, blending their aggressive hardcore delivery with elements of sludge, industrial, and various other genres. In their short film-slash-documentary my world, drummer and vocalist Jami Morgan states:

What we’re trying to do is we’re trying to expand, you know? We’re trying to grow this thing in the way that we’ve envisioned it to grow. I think people are starting to see that this is a band that has tentacles in everything. It’s not just metal, it’s not just hardcore. Everything.

In early 2020, Code Orange launched whatisreallyunderneath.com, a viral promotional campaign that involved code breaking and puzzles. This led up to the announcement of their third album, Underneath, which was released on March 13, 2020. The album saw Morgan step away from drums to focus solely on lead vocals, with Ethan Young from Thirty Nights of Violence taking over behind the kit.
