Ryan M. Lewis professionally known as Cloud 9ine KO was born at 9pm in ‘’‘Ingelwood, California’‘’ on May 13, 1992 at ‘’‘Centinela Hospital’‘’. His mother was born in ‘’‘Baton Rouge, Louisiana’‘’ and his father as born in ‘’‘Little Rock, Arkansas’‘’. Named by his older brother Devin, Ryan “Cloud 9ine KO” Lewis and his family lived in a 2 bed room house in ‘’‘Watts, California’‘’. As a child, Cloud 9ine KO attended 109th Street Elementary in the Los Angeles Unified School District. As a teenager, he went on to attend King Drew Medical Magnet High School in Compton, until the 10th grade. From there on he would attend and graduate from an independent study charter school named Opportunities For Learning in Compton. Growing up he has always been infatuated with music. Listening to old school hip hop & ‘’‘Motown’‘’ of the 1960’s era. He has always admired how every artist has their own individual story and style. Spending most of his time listening to artists such as: ‘’‘2pac, The Tempations, The Dramatics, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, Hot Boyz, Lil Boosie, Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops & Do Or Die’‘’ just to name a few… He would recite every lyric wishing one day to perform lyrics of his own. Quoted from an interview, Cloud 9ine KO stated, “After hearing ‘’‘"MC Breed’s – Ain’t A Future In Ya Frontin’”‘’‘ for the first time, it was that moment that would change his life forever.“ At the age of 12, Cloud 9ine KO taught himself how to write a verse, from there he recorded "Influenced By The Streets” (unreleased), his first single recorded alongside a few associates from around his neighborhood. Years later he would make his mark and establish himself as an artist, releasing his debut street album “Rare Breed Society” in 2013 featuring his hit single “Helps On The Way”. Cloud 9ine KO got the attention of many people with his lyrically raw unique style of vivid story telling. Soon after he would land a small role on the TV series “Southland” in 2013. Following with his 2nd project released in 2014, titled “#4StarMovement”. Cloud 9ine KO dedicated the project to a childhood friend Irvine Barner Jr. that was killed mid 2014. Honoring him, Cloud 9ine KO, titled the project “#4StarMovement” and with Irvine
displayed as a angel on his cover art. Dealing with family illnesses and the birth of his first son Ryley Cloud 9ine KO took time off, recording a large amount of unreleased music to help coup with everything he was going through. He would make his return mid 2015 with a collaboration street album with “DJ Worm2G” titled “Chasing Trillz Vol. 1”. Fresh off a mini tour within California named “We The West” in 2016, he was sponsored by “Cannabis Energy Drink” and named “Face Of The West Coast” for their company. 2018, After releasing almost a single a month. Cloud 9ine KO learned and started producing his own songs. From there, he would later with the help from singer/songwriter CasperTheDot and a investor. Start their own record label “No Tomorrow Entertainment”. 2019, Cloud 9ine KO starts off the year with a bang. By producing and releasing a phenomenal single “Smoke & Drank” displaying his unique versatility. Overcoming many obstacles in his journey, Cloud 9ine KO plans to keep moving forward towards success.
