Joshua “Josh” Tyler Huie (b. July 8, 1985), known as Clever, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper and recording artist hailing from Gadsden, Alabama.
While he has been putting out mixtapes since ‘06, it was not until March 2019 that he got his big start featuring on late Chicago rapper Juice WRLD’s track “Ring Ring.” Later the same year, in May, he released the NLE Choppa collaboration “Stick By My Side,” which garnered him even more attention. After a successful Justin Bieber and Post Malone collaboration entitled “Forever,” Huie inked a deal with Republic Records in April 2020.
Clever currently has two upcoming projects; the solo album Crazy, set for a March 2021 release, and his collaborative effort with fellow Alabama native NoCap, The Clever Child, with the release date set sometime in the future.
Clever’s older brother, Jason Huie is also in the music business.
