Clarence Anicholas Clemons Jr. (*January 11, 1942, ✝︎June 18, 2011), was an American musician and actor. From 1972 until his death in 2011, he was the saxophonist for (Bruce Springsteen’s) The E Street Band. Besides that, he persued a solo career, plus he performed with numerous other famous artist. He also was involved with various charitable organizations.
Springsteen referred to him as “The Big Man” or “The Biggest Man”. Clemens died from a stroke in 2011, in 2014 he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
