About Citizen Way

Citizen Way, formerly known as The Least of These, is a contemporary Christian music and rock band based out of Elgin, Illinois. The group was founded in 2004 by two sets of brothers: Ben Blascoe (bass guitar) and David Blascoe (drums); Ben Calhoun (vocals and guitar) and Josh Calhoun (guitar, keys and vocals).

The band released their debut single, “Should’ve Been Me,” in June 2012 under their label, Fair Trade Services. Their third single, “How Sweet the Sound,” was dropped later in September 2013 and went on to become their first No. 1 single, debuting on the Billboard Christian Soft AC/Inspirational chart.

Citizen Way broke through the music scene in 2013 with their first debut album, Love Is the Evidence. The band quickly drew in a devoted fan base as some of their hits took Christian radio by storm.

Three years later, they released Citizen Way 2.0, which features their popular song “Bulletproof.” The band continued to make an impact both on and off-air as they toured the country alongside other CCM artists such as MercyMe, Big Daddy Weave, the Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, and Mandisa.

Daniel Olsson (guitar and background vocals) joined the band in 2018, but he left a year later along with David Blascoe. With Ben Calhoun as its sole member, Citizen Way released their latest album Love Is a Lion in October 2019, which features popular songs such as “Love Has Won” and “WaveWalker.”
