About Chyskillz

Chylow Parker (1969–2018) was a record producer, DJ and beatmaker of rap group Onyx. Their debut album Bacdafucup (1993), produced by Chyskillz and Jam Master Jay, became multi-platinum.

In the 80’s Chyskillz with Large Professor was a members of b-boy team “Stay Fresh Crew”. Neek the Exotic introduced him to Fredro Starr in 1991. The first song that Chylow did for Onyx was “Nigga Bridges.”

In 1993 Chyskillz and Jam Master Jay created music for “Slam,” which was Onyx’s breakthrough single, making it to number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the Hot Rap Singles. The single was first certified Gold on July 7, 1993, before being certified Platinum on August 10, 1993. The song was sampled by more than 25 rap artists including Eminem, EPMD, Das EFX and Ras Kass.

During the career, Chylow Parker has worked with Run-D.M.C., Public Enemy, The Notorious BIG, LL Cool J, Shaquille O'Neal, Royal Flush, Bo$$, etc.

Chyskillz died on February 13, 2018, from hearbreak. He just finished work on the project with De La Soul. On February 14, 2018, Sticky released “Ebenezer Scrooge” video, his last collaboration with Chylow.
