About CHOA (초아)

Born on March 6, 1990, in Incheon, South Korea, Park Choa (박초아), known simply as Choa, is a singer and actress who originally debuted with the girl group AOA, in 2012. She was also a member of group’s subunit AOA Black, when the unit debuted in 2013 (the group would cease all activities in 2016).

However, Park departed from the AOA in 2017, citing a decline in her mental health, resulting in depression and insomnia, as well as a desire to experience more things.

Three years after her departure from AOA, Choa made a return to the industry, singing a soundtrack song for the 2020 KBS2 drama 그놈이 그놈이다 (To All the Guys Who Loved Me). The release came as a surprise for K-pop and K-drama fans, as it was unannounced. As such, it left fans speculating whether or not the vocals were provided by Choa, until news reports confirmed the speculations.
