Cherry Poppin' Daddies are a ska/punk/swing/fusion band originally based out of Eugene, Oregon. Although they are often associated with the “swing revival” of the early-mid 90s, the band has always had an extremely varied musical palette. Their songs range in style from alternative rock, to punk, to funk metal, to swing, and even vaudeville.
Their name has always been highly controversial; in the early days of the band, their concerts would regularly be protested for their supposedly misogynistic lyrics and name. They now often go simply by “The Daddies.”
