About Cherie and Marie Currie

After her departure from The Runaways and an unsuccessful solo debut, lead singer Cherie Currie would decide to team-up with her twin sister Marie after receiving overwhelming praise from their performances while on tour in Japan.

The duo would release one album, Messin' with the Boys in 1980. While Marie was featured on Cherie’s first solo album Beauty’s Only Skin Deep, this project would be the first to feature her as a major collaborator.
Though the group would ultimately receive more success and airplay than Cherie’s solo effort – even having a single peak at #95 on the Billboard Hot 100 – they would still lose their contract with Capitol Records.

In 1997, their debut album was re-released with additional bonus tracks and the duo’s final release would be the compilation album Young And Wild in 1998.
