Kim Jong Dae (김종대) professionally known as CHEN (첸) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and the main vocalist of the K-Pop boy group EXO. He made his debut in 2012 as a member of the group. In 2016, CHEN debuted in the group’s first sub-unit EXO-CBX.

CHEN made his solo debut in 2019 with an EP titled, 사월, 그리고 꽃 (April, and a flower) becoming the second EXO member to release a solo EP after LAY. The same year he released his second mini album, 사랑하는 그대에게 (Dear My Dear). In 2022, he released his third mini album 사라지고 있어 (Last Scene) led by a song by the same name. The music video for the song starred Emmy-nominated actor Park Hae Soo. In 2023, CHEN released his first solo Japanese album, ポラリス (Polaris).

CHEN has contributed to many successful Korean drama soundtracks like Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Descendants of the Sun, 100 Days My Prince. In 2017, CHEN was also featured on the critically acclaimed song, “Nosedive” by hip-hop duo, Dynamic Duo.
