About Ché Noir

Ché Noir (born 1994) is an American rapper hailing from Buffalo, NY.

Ché started making music at 15, producing beats on Fruity Loops after being taught by her then boyfriend, a big local producer at the time. The following year she started rapping over the beats she was making, being influenced by ‘90s rappers like DMX, Foxy Brown, JAY-Z, The Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac.

However it wasn’t until she was about 21 she started taking music seriously, building a studio in one of her friend’s apartments out in Buffalo and recording there her first songs.

After a while, Ché ended up building a studio out in Niagara Falls, where she met Buffalo rapper Benny The Butcher, with whom she recorded “Tyson.” Around that time she started making a name for herself by dropping a few independently produced mixtapes, among which Poetic Thoughts (2016).

Her career took a turn for the better in 2018, when
she recorded the single “Champion” (released on her 2019’s tape The Thrill Of A Hunt) in collaboration with Chicago producer DJ T-Rell, she decided to send it to 38 Spesh, a rapper and producer from Rochester, who founded New York-based record label Trust Gang.

In 2019 Ché released JUNO, which was entirely produced by 38 Spesh, followed the next year by As God Intended, produced by critically acclaimed Detroit beatsmith Apollo Brown.
