Charlotte Haining was born and raised in Leeds and originates from a musical family.
She initially gravitated towards the sounds of liquid drum and bass (DnB) because of the emotion in the tracks. Inspired particularly by the powerful, classic, soulful vocals that DnB producers often add to their tracks.
In 2016, Charlotte made the move to London in hope of expanding her network further and start to get in the studio face to face frequently rather than working via WeTransfer. The move South proved to be very productive, not only did it create new opportunities for her DnB work but it also opened the door for her to start songwriting across other genres under her pen name “Marlie”. Her perhaps most notable work to date is her feature in Mike Perry’s “Bloodshot”.
Charlotte Haining's first song Young released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
