Charlie Mills is a singer/songwriter who is born and raised in West London, UK. He has been writing songs since the age of 16. His mother taught him singing in the genre of musical theatre and classical and also co-writes on some of his songs.
Previously studying Music at Isleworth & Syon School and Richmond Upon Thames College, he has been studying BA (Hons) Creative Musicianship at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, located in North West London.
Charlie has also been taking part at the National Youth Jazz Orchestra academy class every Saturday.
Charlie grew up listening to artists such as Michael Jackson and The Beatles. Artists that have influenced him include Troye Sivan, George Michael, Michael Jackson and Ariana Grande.
Charlie released his first EP in 2018 titled “Guilty Love”, consisting of 5 tracks which he has also collaborated from people at his college.
Charlie has also released his second EP “Visions” which was released in 2019, also including the song “Scarlet” which he released as a single, days before the release of his album. He has said that that most of the songs on the EP are more personal than the songs on his previous EP. All the songs on “Visions” have gained between 1k-4K+ streams with the song that has the name of the EP “Visions” which has the most streams with over 4K+ streams.
In April 2020, Charlie released his single “Lyin’ To Ourselves” for upcoming debut album. The song hit over 15K streams on Spotify. He is also featured on the song “Number 1” with his friend Manuela Tome. The song was released on May 15th 2020.
