Cassius Antonio Cruz (born January 18th, 1999) is an American recording artist, songwriter and producer. Born to Jamaican parents in Brooklyn, New York, Cruz began recording rhymes on Garageband and releasing them to SoundCloud in 2012 as “Sixtin Bars”. Cruz released six mixtapes under the moniker including “Connection Lost” and “The Internet EP” while coming of age in the Lower East Side. By 2016 the Sixtin Bars era would take its final bow and a year later, Cruz resurfaced, fully reimagined with the tropical self-produced “Azúcar”. In 2018 Azúcar would see it’s re-release to include the dark R&B tinged singles “Into Me”, “Sunset Park No.1” and the cheeky ode to tumblr hypebeast culture, “Spanish Rice”. Cruz has gone on to weave a lush and sensual world through invoking afro-latin & caribbean sounds with the release of tantalizing spanglish gems like “Make Love To Me” “Ven A Mi” and the Anthony Fantano approved “Chiquita".
