Rhythm and Blues singer Carla Thomas, best known for a series of hit records in the 1960’s which earned her the title, the Queen of Memphis Soul. Carla was born in 1942, in the Foote Homes Housing Project in Memphis, Tennessee.
Her 1966 hit song B-A-B-Y has gained attention again in 2017 due to the release of the hit movie Baby Driver.
