About Caramell

Caramell was Swedish pop group consisting of Katia Löfgren, Malin Dinah Sundström, Jorge “Vasco” Vasconcelo and Juha “Millboy” Myllylä. They are best remembered in the West for their single Caramelldansen, a sped-up version of which (the “SpeedyCake remix”) became extremely popular in the anime fandom and across the Internet at large in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

They released two studio albums, Gott Och Blandatt (1999) and Supergott (2001).

They were active between 1998 and 2002, and are currently on indefinite hiatus. However, they later got three different singers to form Caramella Girls, an offshoot of the original group.

Since the original group’s hiatus, Malin has started a solo career as Dinah Nah, while Jorge & Juha have formed the duo Vasco & Millboy.
